Take Stock and Prepare for 2026
There are just over six weeks left until the end of 2025.
How is your end-of-year to-do list looking? If you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all, here is what helped me this week:
Make a list of everything you still want to do this year.
Make a list of all unmovable deadlines.
Choose your top three priorities for the rest of this year.
Review your calendar and mark the days without commitments; these are your focus days.
Make a list of these focus days and fill them with your priority tasks.
One of the things I highly recommend is making your finances one of these top priorities! I just finished catching up on my bookkeeping, which I'd been neglecting over the last few months (ahem). I have learned over the years that completing my books by the end of the year makes for a much calmer Q1, when lots of financial and legal deadlines loom.
👉 A great place to start with your own financial review and calculate your needed revenue for next year is the Calm Business Review — I just launched the 2026 edition!
If you’re not familiar with the Calm Business Review, it is a FREE 50-page workbook designed to help you take stock of your business and prepare for the new year. Let’s work on the Calm Business Review together!
Most people work on the CBR between Christmas and New Year. Last year, I offered an online coworking session for the first time, and it was such a success that we are doing it again this year!
This year, we have two dates to accommodate different time zones. You are welcome to attend both. We’ll start with a Q&A for 30 minutes and then cowork for 60 minutes. It’s a wonderful way to get focused in good company.
Dates:
December 29 at 2 pm Pacific Time
December 30 at 9 am Pacific Time
The link to the sessions is provided in the welcome email.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
