2.4 Hide Header and Footer

It’s all in your head

In Classroom MS I decided to try something a little different to my other course and hide the header and footer! This way this becomes almost like a standalone course. Generally I like to keep the header and footer so that my students can easily navigate to other areas of my website. But I have to say, I do love the clean look of this course without the distractions of the header and footer. Who knows, I might do this for my other classes, too!

I only have the code for Bedford and Brine templates, if your template is not listed pop into the Facebook group and I’ll see if I can get the right code for you.

Instructions

Copy the code below your template family into your custom CSS and make sure you replace the Collection-ID with your own. Important: Append the collection ID with a period (.) and not the hash (#), so that the custom CSS cascades through all blog posts.

Bedford Family

/* Hide E-Course Header and Footer */
.collection-ID Header, .collection-ID .pre-footer-inner, .collection-ID #footer {
  display: none !important;
}

Brine Family

/* Hide E-Course Header and Footer */
.collection-ID .Header, .collection-ID .Footer {
  display: none !important;
}
